From May 19 to 20, the 2nd International Congress on Cocoa Coffee and Tea Asia was held both online and offline at Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tea Research Institute (TRI) of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GDAAS) was one of the sub-forums of the conference. A delegation led by Tang Jinchi, Director of TRI, and Sun Jianxin, Secretary of CPC General Branch of TRI, attended the conference.
Wan Xiaochun, Xia Tao, and other renowned scholars from home and abroad delivered presentations on scientific research progress and the latest scientific achievements involving cocoa, coffee, and tea at the conference, covering a number of interdisciplinary areas such as biology, chemistry, technology, metabolomics, nutrition and health, quality and safety control. Through attending the conference, the scholars gained an in-depth understanding of the latest scientific progress in the field of beverage plant, broadened their horizons, and expanded their minds, further contributing to scientific and technological innovation.
